It was 30 years ago, when Jimmy Stewart began working with Bob Spoto. At that time Spoto's restaurant was one of the area's most successful steakhouses. Over the years the locations changed, and Jimmy's career took a lot of twists and turns. As Jimmy was researching and honing his skills, Bob had opened another concept.
Through the years Jimmy and Bob developed a relationship as close as family ties; which led the duo to open in Dunedin in November, 2000. As the restaurant grew it began to change slightly, but at the same time it was changing drastically, as Bob decided to retire and sell the restaurant to Jimmy Stewart.
Over the years, Jimmy faithfully followed Bob's concepts helping to build the restaurant into a legendary leader in food service. Now Spoto's Steakjoint II is sitting on the launch pad of a great new and exciting era. Using the freshest local & regional products and ingredients to culminate a new gourmet twist. Designed to make this venerable veteran a leader in innovation, while still maintaining the basics that have brought is such success.
